Poodle Turds Cookies

Because Blogger and iTunes only displays 7-10 posts, every now and then I like to replay an early podcast so our new listeners can get in on the fun.

The first time I ever tasted a Poodle Turds Cookie, I was hooked for life. Since then I have ordered several bags for various occasions. There is nothing more fun than going to a party, and putting a bag of Poodle Turds Cookies down on the table, and just kick back and watch the fun.

The cookies are delicious chocolate oatmeal, so they do not last too long. The funny thing is, most of the time people will eat one or two, then when they realize how good they are, they return to the bag to read the brand so they could get more. When they see the logo of the smiling mascot “Buttons” on the Poodle Turds package, well, the reactions are exactly what you would expect.

The cookies are made from the finest ingredients, and no turds are actually used, so it’s all good fun. Be sure to check out their web site at PoodleTurds.com and get a couple bags for the next party you attend. It will be the talk of the town for sure.

So enjoy this repeat broadcast that also has Huckaloogie and Frank’s Depression as well as the Poodle Turds smiling mascot Buttons. Be sure to listen using iTunes so you see the images in our enhanced podcast.

Halloween Music

I’m always so happy when I go to the local shops and see the first Halloween decorations on display. Ahhh Fall, it’s got to be the best part of the year. Perfect breezy days, cool crisp air, trees turning color. I love it.

I have a huge collection of Halloween Music. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I collect music, so it only makes sense that I’d have a lot of Halloween Music in my collection.

If you love Halloween, I have a bunch of great links for you to enjoy, as well as an image enhanced podcast of some of my favorite Halloween Songs.

First up is Mark Harvey from Nobody Records and 13thTrack.com doing an original tune titled, It’s Halloween. Mark is even more of a Halloween enthusiast than me, and that’s saying something. He owns the largest on line collection of Halloween Music at his site 13thTrack.com – be sure to check his site out, it’s sooooo cool!

After Mark’s song, my good friend Mitchell Vaillant performs All Hallows Eve with a cast of thousands. Even Bella Lagosi makes a cameo just to add spooky atmosphere.

Rain Station has a nifty CD of Halloween Party Songs they recorded titled: Dark Ride. I play a track titled Trick or Treatin’ which really captures the old fashioned ritual of Trick or Treating I grew up with. Gosh I miss those good old days. The Dark Ride CD also has a few of it’s songs animated at the way cool Flash site, JackOLantern.org – so be sure to watch the fun cartoons at this site to get in the Halloween mood.

Baltimore Bands

I moved from Portland Maine to Baltimore Maryland in 1982 to attend college at Maryland Institute of Art. Baltimore is an amazing place. It has a dark old world feel to it. You gotta love east coast cities for the old brick buildings. The town is full of some of the most creative people I have ever met, and living there really inspired me.

Baltimore is famous for it’s kitschyness. John Waters and his movies have made Baltimore even more famous for it’s big hair, big lips, big… everything.

Baltimore also has a bizarre darker side. It’s very witchy and full of weird voodoo shops and the like. I met more witches, urban druids, Wiccans, neoists, Subgenius, and other intense cosmic folk in Baltimore than any other place I’ve ever lived. It seems to draw a lot of different spiritual folk to it’s all night orange glow. I believe that the orange glow is from the high pressure sodium lights that keep the streets lit at night, but I’ve never seen another city glow quite like Baltimore.

I met many musicians during my four years in Baltimore. Today’s image enhanced podcast captures some of the amazing talent that was going on around me at this time. The All Mighty Senators bring down the house with Race Car. The amazing Liz Downing and Lambs Eat Ivy whip out the Tibetan Book of The Dead for some song writing inspiration with their delightful ditty, Serpentine. My buddy Mitchell Vaillant and I also met at art school, so last, but not least on our Baltimore podcast is his home recorded tune: Chapel.

If you ever get the chance be sure to visit the Baltimore Aquarium, it is by far one of the most amazing places on earth. I remember late at night hiking down Charles Street just to visit the seals that live in the moat that surrounds the aquarium’s glass pyramid rain forest.

Well, before I go on and on forever, here’s the podcast. Enjoy!

Greetings!

Due to being added to the iTunes Podcast Directory under the Music and Comedy categories, we have received a lot of new listeners over night. This little mp3 is here as a greeting for all the new ‘Super Fans’ out there. Thank you all so much. Podcasting is exciting because anyone can now broadcast their own show, and I’m amazed at how global our listeners already are. Our web stats show that people as far away as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Korea are all listening to The Super Fantastic Ultra Show! WOW is all I can say.

Our podcast host, Hoagie Malone, over the past 30 years has archived a gigantic amount of home recordings by many different bands, artists, comedians, spoken word poets, and other freaks and weirdos. Home recording and demo music tends to be a lot more raw than music industry releases, and more and more people are beginning to appreciate music that is made by real people with low budgets all for the love of doing what they do. Podcasting is perfect for broadcasting just this sort of thing, because you’d never hear it anywhere else.

Our podcast ranges from old punk rock, progressive, alternative, hip hop, country, or just plain strange. (Home recordings can get quite weird, and well, we love it). If you are the kind of person that enjoys hearing artists creating audio just for the fun of it, then you should find this podcast rather amusing and entertaining.

Most of our podcasts are image enhanced, so be sure to enjoy our show using iTunes so you don’t miss out on the nifty photos, images, comics, and web links included on each image enhanced podcast. Thanks again for joining us. For information on how to subscribe to our podcast, please click here.

Greetings!Greetings to all our new listeners!

Drinkin’ Music

Here it is Labor Day Weekend, so I wanted to be sure and put together a fun party mix of good time drinking music. Man oh man, where did the summer go? Better have some fun now before the winter winds begin to blow cold…

We start out with a great CD I just got in the post from Miles Partridge with the track: tequila. It rocks. Be sure to check out his web site. The Miles Partridge CD is great from start to finish. It’s amazing to live in a time when people can self produce music of this caliber. Gotta love real indie music. Somebody sign this guy already… c’mon.

Next up is a blast from the past I just know will amuse you. Punk rock from 1982 with the band, T2. They do a great cover of the song, Banned From The Pubs. After that Rain Station slips in with a 4-track recording called Bull Whiskey that totally rocks in a very sloppy drunken sort of way. Party hearty you guys!

We end the podcast with a soothing night cap from Mitchell Vaillant titled: Tapping On My Window. Be sure to check out Mitchell’s web site at ThisCanFree.com for more of Mitchell’s music – all the way from New York City to you.

Bands – Musicians – Comedians – Send us your CD and be heard on The Super Fantastic Ultra Show. What the heck – it’s free publicity for you and some new content for our podcast! For complete details click here. And now – on with the show!

Space Aliens

I saw my first UFO hovering over the White Mountains of New Hampshire in the early 90’s. I was working at a summer camp teaching arts and crafts. I was returning after a day off late one night, and way off in the distance I noticed a strange light in the sky. It was triangular, and each point blinked a different color one at a time. Over and over it blinked, yet hovered in place just over Mount Washington.

I sat in the grass and watched for a while, and then it moved to a different place, and continued hovering and blinking. I decided to wake up a buddy of mine to get a second opinion. He was like, “do you know what time it is…” and I go, yeah, but there’s a UFO outside, and I thought you’d like to see it. The two of us climbed out onto the main lodge roof, and sat for several hours watching the blinking lights in the sky. He was glad I woke him. He said he had always wanted to see a UFO, and that if they landed, he would gladly get in and go with them. I agreed.

Over the summer we would see them from time to time. Sometimes there would be many all at once. We even informed the local police, and they told us to phone them the next time we see these mysterious lights in the sky. Well, we did, and they came out, sat in the field with us for about two hours, and we all watched the UFOs dance and hover over these great mountains. No one knew anything about them. The cops made a few phone calls. No, they were not weather balloons, or anything else identifiable. They later told us they received calls about them for the rest of the summer.

The White Mountains are famous for UFO sightings, and we have all heard of the married couple that were abducted and had strange medical tests done on their bodies, well, they were driving through the White Mountains when this happened to them, so the area is just crawling with little green men and space aliens.

I also believe that most UFO sightings are experimental military craft that is top secret, so the UFOs we saw that summer could have just been that. I also believe that the technology is from space craft that have crashed to the earth, and our scientists are using the alien technology to build these military space ships.

So there you have it, a nifty image enhanced podcast with little green men, space ships, and brilliant UFOs. Kick back and enjoy all you sci-fi fans!

Heaven

I couldn’t do a podcast from hell without also doing a heavenly podcast to balance it all. It’s funny, it was so much easier to find hellish songs than heavenly tunes, but I did it. After going through piles of home recorded music, I found a few songs with angels, gods, and other heavenly things we’ve all come to know and love.

First up is Mark Harvey and Rain Station doing, To Heaven, a sweet sweet song Mark wrote for his little baby girl when she was born. Awwwwwww. Then another band from Nobody Records: Beth Eyre and The Month of Sundays play their soft country rock tune: Angel On My Shoulder. Then Bay Area band Strip Karaoke sings us a sweet campfire song about the place where all good cowboys and cowgirls go after they die in, Dance With Clouds.

So there you have it, more amazing unsigned home recorded music all in an image enhanced podcast made specifically for iTunes listeners. During your little visit to Heaven, be sure to tell Saint Peter that Hoagie sent ya. Enjoy!

Hell

I’ve collected a bunch of home recorded tunes jam packed with demons, devils, and all things evil and hellish. Mitchell Vaillant improvises a hot and steamy twisted tale titled: El Diablo Fuego. Dan Hanrahan shares with us The Devil’s Advocate which is quickly followed by Tucker Fucker Katonah! and his advertisement for Fun House. Strip Karaoke appropriately ends the show waiting forever and ever at the Bus Stop To Hell.

So paint a giant pentacle in the middle of your floor, light a few candles, praise the all mighty lord Satan, and rock out to our Podcast from HELL ~

Sexy Songs

People just love sex, well, because that’s where people come from after all. So what could be better than a bunch of sexy songs for you all to enjoy. The subject of sex has always been such a funny thing to me. Why are people so freaked out by sex? Sex is somehow treated like it’s criminal, or worse, it’s treated so boringly. I mean TV shows us a million ways to kill each other, but only a couple ways to love one another. What’s up with that?

This sexy podcast us full of sexy guys and gals singing a sexy song or two. It gets rather explicit at times, but that’s the fun of it.

The Amazing Love Spitoon from Portland Maine do an improvised song and dance called: Teenage Prostitute. Strip Karaoke shares two songs with our listeners today, first Big Dick, and lastly I Like Her Tits. These two very sexy songs sandwich Mitchell Vaillant’s tune: Harper’s Ferry. I’m sure Mitchell is glad to be sandwiched between May’s two Strip Karaoke tunes. Mmmmmmm.

If you listen to this podcast during your commute on the bus you may get a big boner, so listener beware and be sure you don’t embarass yourself. Enjoy.

Work Sucks!

Every time I punch in at work, I can actually feel my soul draining out of me into the time card, and into the veins of my employer giving him my vitality. I believe that the 40 hour work week is “slavery in disguise”… and it’s not disguised all that well either.

Many of the world’s problems come from over production. The pollution and waste that is created due to over production is obvious. There is way too much of way too much these days, and little of it really matters. Most things are not life or death, so therefore are not very important in the long run. Everyone’s home is full of crap they don’t need and yet cannot part with.

I’ve always felt that I was too nice to succeed in business. I’m just not evil enough to be business wise. I cannot naturally do things that hurt other people, and it really gets in my way. I also know that I would never be happy if I was not true to myself, so putting on a business mask in order to be successful, wouldn’t lead to any happiness in the long run either.

So this image enhanced podcast is for all the Working Class Heroes out there that keep the infrastructure from collapsing. A big ‘Thanks’ is in order. Without these hard working people, we wouldn’t have the convenience of electricity, running water, my precious internet connection, or food.

If you have a job, this podcast is for you. If you hate your commute, boss, job, co-workers, or any part of your work day, this broadcast is for you. I have posted this on a Sunday so that you can enjoy this podcast during your Monday commute. Take care, my heart is with you all!!!
