The song, It’s Fun To Own Your Own Business is a bit of a joke, really, because most of the time it’s terrifying managing the monster you created. Otherwise, it’s good advice for you and yourn. My heart goes out to the people on the ground when a plane crashes. Loved ones waiting and finding their hopes dashed. How lost they must feel, having to drive home without the person they had come to be with. Jay E Moores wrote the song, sings, and plays baritone ukulele. Hazel de Mesa added bass and keyboard. Beaver the Fifer provides a haunting fife solo. We record in a gothic revival church built in 1893 on the coast of Maine.

Moon Stars Sun is about the human experience of looking up at the sky and gazing at the infinity above us, wondering who we are, and where we belong in the universe. There is so much displacement of refugees and families fleeing their homes, fearing for their lives due to war and conflicts, who find themselves with their children homeless, with no roofs over their heads, and the only home they have is the vastness of the universe.
