    Groon Merch

Jay has been making amazing handscreened shirts for The Groon Show. Each one is unique and awesome!

Jay also made a bunch of broccoli on chains. Jack has been wearing one around town and getting all kinds of attention.

    “Is that broccoli?”

“Why, yes! Yes, I’m wearing a broccoli on a chain.”

Here we have Papa Groon and Mama Groon keeping their Baby Groon quiet with the broccoli on a chain. It works! 🥦

    Mark Harvey World

On October of 2000 Jay E Moores and Mark Harvey of Rain Station released a Halloween party album (or music to bop along to while waiting in line at a haunted attraction). Jay made animations for each of the 13 songs at JackOLantern.org 🎃 Children of all ages grew up watching them year after year. Dark Ride by Rain Station is now a Halloween classic.

To celebrate 25 years of Dark Ride, Robert Whittington (FIDreams) created this animated tribute to kick off the season.

  • California Burns

My heart goes out to those who lost their homes in the California fires. We had folk sleeping on floors, in the hall, and in our laundry room. We watched my friend Josh’s house blow up on the news. It was surreal. Jay E Moores wrote the song and plays baritone ukulele. Hazel de Mesa adds bass and backing vocals. Sean Kennedy plays bluesy lead guitar. Jazmin Kennedy brings more backing vocals. We record in a gothic revival church built in 1893 on the coast of Maine. We intend to promote this song on social media channels and perform live.

It’s Fun To Own Your Own Business

The song, It’s Fun To Own Your Own Business is a bit of a joke, really, because most of the time it’s terrifying managing the monster you created. Otherwise, it’s good advice for you and yourn. Jay E Moores wrote the song, plays baritone ukulele, and sings up front. Hazel de Mesa added backing vocals, bass and keyboard. Mac Slone plays the banjo. We record in a gothic revival church built in 1893 on the coast of Maine.

  • Air Traffic Control

    Air Traffic Control

My heart goes out to the people on the ground when a plane crashes. Loved ones waiting and finding their hopes dashed. How lost they must feel, having to drive home without the person they had come to be with. Jay E Moores wrote the song, sings, and plays baritone ukulele. Hazel de Mesa added bass and keyboard. Beaver the Fifer provides a haunting fife solo. We record in a gothic revival church built in 1893 on the coast of Maine.

  • Moon Stars Sun

    Moon Stars Sun

Moon Stars Sun is about the human experience of looking up at the sky and gazing at the infinity above us, wondering who we are, and where we belong in the universe. There is so much displacement of refugees and families fleeing their homes, fearing for their lives due to war and conflicts, who find themselves with their children homeless, with no roofs over their heads, and the only home they have is the vastness of the universe.
